WHICH IS BEST OVERALL, A HIGH
COMMISSION RATE OR A HIGH COMMISSION RATES PLUS SPONSORSHIP?
Are
you looking for a higher take home commission rate?
If so, sponsorships may be the ticket. Real Estate
companies sometimes pay as high as 80% or 90%, even 100%
with fee offsets
however there may be no room left to pay sponsorships.
If you don't get paid from sponsorships, how do survive when you're not getting closed sales?
Also,
what about the fees? Can
you afford paying $50 to
$250 for every transaction. Some companies are
franchises and, if so, who pays the franchise fees? Some
companies charge for desk fees. If a company has to provide a desk, phone and office
space for you, then who ends up paying for it?
Variable commission schedules are great when you have the
required number of transactions under your belt but what happens to your take
home commission when things slow down or when you're
starting over at the bottom of the commission structure
cycle?
At
Island Connections Realty, there are no transaction fees.
There are no franchise fees. There are no desk fees.
Island Connections Realty is looking for individuals with
long-range goals, people willing to help us grow and, in
turn, be rewarded for the hard work. We believe the
sponsorship program presents the best long-term opportunity
for agents seeking a long-term solution. We believe
that
sponsorships provide the best long term retirement
benefits and protection for your surviving
spouse, should something happen to you.
WHAT IS A REAL ESTATE SPONSORSHIP?
A
Sponsorship in Real Estate simply means that sponsoring
agents are paid a percentage of another agents' performance
for each transaction that the sponsored agent completes.
The sponsorship is an earned reward for locating other
suitable agents wishing to come into the business. The
sponsor typically provides some assistance to the sponsored
agent when needed.
Sponsorships are designed to supplement one's income even
when not closing sales. Sponsorships can help provide
income for
retirement,
surviving spouse benefits and disability income.
Below
is a chart showing the benefits of Sponsorship however
please be informed that we cannot guarantee that any agent
will perform at any specified sales level.

Island
Connections Realty is a signed member of the Participating
Sponsors Networked (PSN) Agreement which is designed to
protect Agent Sponsorships when changing companies.
Click here to see PSN Agreement
Real
Estate Sponsorships are retained only when the sponsoring
agent stays with the company that provided the sponsorship
however a Participating Sponsors Network (PSN) agreement can
be used to retain one's sponsored agents and sponsorship
payments whenever moving to a different company as long as
both companies have both signed PSN agreements.
A
PSN agreement can be helpful for agents who are moving to a
low fee or non-Realtor fee company when business is slow.
This agreement enables the agent to retain sponsorship
benefits and continue doing sales and referrals as long as
one's Real Estate Commission license remains active,
regardless of the MLS and/or Realtor status.
Please contact the
on-duty agent at Island Connections Realty for additional
information.
